The Treasure

What joy you bring to my world of despair.
When I almost gave up, couldn't love, didn't care.
You offered a life full of love and devotion,
renewing in me that long sleeping notion,
That my life still had meaning and a chance to embrace,
the love you have offered my past to replace
Who knew such a thing could ever have evolved,
as our love matured and the mystery was solved.
Where the treasure of love had hidden so long
found a way to our hearts that would live on and on.
It was you, my love who brought into view,
the elusive happiness that I never knew.
